>>54027008>And I'm not sure how "magic solves everything" Because you don't have an understanding of what magic's role in a story is supposed to be. This is a setting that largely mirrors the world, albeit with some pseudotechnological advances, and the general rules of the world parallel our own. Pokemon establishes the baseline for magic through the elemental typings and clearly defines the limits and bounds of what can be accomplished by regular pokemon through repeated examples in the media. Legendary are an exception given that they are, well, legendary, and possess extreme world-altering powers and their reverance is established by the narrative and characters. One of these unique powers is the creation of life.
Your terrible argument of "I dunno magic eggs appear!" is effectively giving what is a rare and unique power (reserved for beings like the Lake Guardians or Mew) to literally every single Pokemon. Or arguing that there is some sort of unseen benefactor who presents eggs that coincidentally happen to be of the mother's species to two pokemon who are close together in day-care centers randomly peppered throughout the world. Who just so happens to have a personal investment in these pokemon to pass on specific egg moves to them.
Despite there being literally ZERO evidence to this. There is no evidence that eggs magically appear. Use Occam's Razor here, which is more likely? A mysterious, undefined power or entity acted in a literal fashion as described above, and will only present eggs in this exceptionally specific circumstance for no explicable reason to do so? Or the elderly day-care couple looked away and animals do what animals do, and offered the "stork" explanation to a kid?
Either you're intentionally playing the role of a retard, or you are the most gullible and on-the-spectrum person on this board for taking such a literal stance over a few choice moments (while, again, excluding numerous other examples to the contrary.)
