We didn't get the date for the HOME update until supposedly a week before the initial one. Then it turned out to be bullshit and was pushed back to the end of the month. They don't care.

Insider info here. They are afraid of people canceling their preorders because the DLC is in such a mess right now. Following current trajectory, the DLCs will either be delayed or released as a buggy mess and requiring at least 2 updates to fix everything.

Where have you been the last 3-5 years? This is the new marketing tactic for Pokemon games, hide as much as possible to keep the mystery alive. We didn't hardly get fuckall for PLA pre-release and SwSh was pretty quiet too. It was probably decided when they revealed way too much about SuMo and spoiled a lot of the surprises.
