Do I need to play BW before B2W2? Are the first games just an excuse to ogle at Hilda's ass?

B2W2 is like 10 times better than BW1 so yes. The only reason to play that game is to lookbat her ass... the story is kinda good too.

No, just play B2W2 as the definitive Gen V experience. Your character's journey doesn't continue from BW into BW2, unless you trade your bros from BW to BW2 at the start of the game but that just cheeses everything

You absolutely should play both to take advantage of Memory Link in B2W2, but if you only feel like playing one, play B2W2 and watch a plot summary for BW.
and besides rosa is more attractive than hllda in my opinion

The first game has a better narrative whereas the second has better gameplay features(more content/areas, bigger regional dex, Memory Link for those who played the originals, etc)

If you care at all about story play BW, it's also the clear vision for the Gen with a fresh dex.
If you just want to catch them all and have more content play BW2

Yes. BW protag/rival designs were series peak and bw2 went a bit overboard. Would rather take more Hilberts/Hilda/N designs than what we have now.

Original BW is a comfy game that forces you to use only the regions own pokémon for main story. It's shorter to clear the endgame but a good experience for BW2 plot context and changes to the region alone.
