Transfer moves aren’t really a thing any more to be fair, so past SWSH it won’t be able to do that unless it gets readded to its move set. If it does come back in SV DLC or in whatever game it pops up in next it’ll probably get something like Salt Cure for some goddamn reason.

Pressure doubles the rate at which PP is used up, and in the generation Lugia was in it had access to Toxic and Recover had a good amount of PP. PP stall is essentially like that episode of Simpsons where Homer became a professional boxer who would win by letting people punch him until they got too tired to fight anymore because he was basically immune to concussions.

Lugia would not promote a very healthy metagame. Lugia is essentially just deoxys-d/giratina but better. especially with the great knock off exodus it would be too hard to deal with. Like, what in the current metagame can deal with it after a tera-steel? Even if mons can slowly chip away it's health it would essentially just be a zamazenta-c (a mon that was just banned to ubers) except Lugia has recover.
Of course, even if it weren't broken it's not even in gen 9 yet. A better "bad" uber to unban would be Darkrai, it's just walking wake but more damage and worse type

Wasn't trying to be dishonest. Didn't realize it was set to Pressure. Besides, that's enough to break through Lugia after a few hits thanks to RNG giving a chance for Sneasler to deal over 50% of health, and since Sneasler out speeds Lugia, it can't even take advantage of the Sp. Def drop.

It used to tank hits and deal out enough damage to scare off mons. Now it only works on really really stall-centric teams and even that is iffy.

yes you could run calm mind, roost, and attacking moves but lugia naturally makes your opponent switch in their wallbreakers. and to try and break past lugia’s insane bulk and multiscale they’d naturally want to start setting up like SD groudon or geomancy xerneas. offensive lugia would just die at that point.
but if you predicted the wallbreaker switch-in you could’ve got toxic on that xerneas. then the turn it power herb geomancies you could whirlwind it out, and now you have a poisoned xerneas that wasted its power herb and whatever gets switched in can also get chipped from any entry hazards you’ve set up. lugia didn’t need any offense but you can see how you’re now in a really good position completely destroying your opponent’s momentum and crippling them.

At least if it was water it would have stab on Hydro Pump, and it’s lore is all about water and storms and shit. Water would make more sense and drizzle or something might help fix its shit attacking stats. As is it’s best stabs are sky attack and future sight, both of which are shit.

it has stab Aeroblast which is 10 power lower that Hydro Pump and has 95 accuracy, what are you on about? Lugia doesn't need unga-bunga giant sp.atk mewtwo stats to be good. as a matter of fact, a non-invested lugia can beat a mewtwo anyways in a 1v1. that's what sheer bulk does
