>>54033501The first time they did it, it was with a character who you barely knew. And it wasn't even really presented like it was supposed to be funny, more like they wanted the player to shut up and not blow their cover.
The second time it was at least trying to be funny. I'm the sure the eight-year-olds playing the game for the first time were amused. it certainly fit with the juvenile theme and careful handholding that was rampant in that gen.
The third time it's even more obviously a dumb joke, I think it's trying to be ironic, but also, the entire thing is a red herring to distract you from thinking too hard about who Cassiopeia or the Big Boss might be.
