To spike doomer posters. The initial impressions were extremely negative so the contrarian backlash was off the fucking charts right when it came out. People were even unironically defending the graphics and the unpopulated areas. The bar was just so incredibly low.

That said, there are a few things Legends did well. And looking back, comparing it to SV, I'd honestly take Legends. But I couldn't be arsed to finish either if them thus far, probably never will

The only decent spin-offs we've gotten on Switch are a port and a remake.
