For every kid with psychic powers or humungous strength, there's one which whose genes look like European nobles, have characteristics of FASD, or just act... not quite human.
It also depends on how similar the pokemon side of the relationship is to a human, physiologically speaking. A machamp-human pairing might be more compatible than a zoroark. And a zoroark would in turn be more compatible than an absol or other quadruped, whose childs brain would be wired to move on four legs, and thus might never gets the hang of bipedalism entirely.
And don't get me started on, say, invertebrates.
