Probably the usual cycle, I don't get why people are so caught up on specifics on the "official release" of the successor console in terms of dates lining up.
Gamefreak as a developer won't be on the same "time" with the console, the switch 2 is realistically already basically finalized if its coming out in a year or so. They can very much make a 2025 game with little issue.
And I feel like the anni title won't be gen 10, if it is then cool I guess. Doubt whatever they'd do with such a gen
or the whole anni thing in general would be that exciting but it'll certainly be a footnote.

It was a smoke screen for someone just leaking the trailer; literally everything else from that leak matches with someone who just saw the trailer. And people who look at trailers generally aren't the people working on those parts of the game.
