>>54055200There were a few that were banned due to the base form already being in Ubers (Groudon, Kyogre, Mewtwo, Blaziken at the time), one that broke Ubers (Rayquaza), then a few specific ones being banned like Sableye, Mawile, Kangaskhan, Lucario, Salamence, and Gengar. So even pretending banning the majority of Mega forms would qualify as banning the mechanic, only 12/46 were banworthy, and 6/40 were banworthy without their base form also being banworthy. Far from a majority no matter how you cut it.
