>>54053023yeah, i think you are right, bad tradeoff in my opinion. dexnav really is the best. it's so much fun, and it's implemented so well. i also love that i can shiny chain fish as early as being able to access gulpin for sticky hold and having the old rod. you can literally shiny hunt in oras, HA hunt, super early in the game, and you get the nat dex before eliter four which actually gives you access to a whole bunch of new dexnav pokemon. i also think the mechanics that work in tandem with the dexnav, such as when you have a pokemon appear in a shaking spot, your general encounter rate decreases to account for the fact you are walking through dangerous encounter ridden territory to get to the shaking spot. and they also let you get access to surskit early on and you can start getting horde encounters right off the bat. oras is an incredibly satisfying pokemon experience, and i also think x y is very fun as well. i enjoy usum a lot too though, so for me i just really like the 3ds era pokemon, but oras specifically, just feels perfect like they hit every note perfect. just my opinion. in swsh it feels like the control freak parent took over and wanted you to only do specific things and have limited freedom. i like a lot of things in gens 8-9 and PLA is great and i like BDSP a lot, but when i play gens 6-7 it just feels like i have more freedom in the game. rematching trainers in oras with them giving items occassionally is also a great system along with the berries. i really feel oras is a perfect game.
