Because of Enamorus, it's slightly more viable for a Pokemon to be female because it'll be immune to Enam's Cute Charm.
Because Hisuian Samurott is seeing so much usage in competitive, more players will go out of their way to get female Hisuian Samurotts. And as such, the gender ratio will be skewed in favor of female. At least moreso than other, non-viable starters.
Unovan Samurott is useless in competitive anyway, so anyone who's using it is using it casually and probably doesn't care about gender, so it'll be mostly male because there's an 87.5% chance of that being the case.
