Special dragons have to use a stab move that forces them to switch out after using it.
Dragons don't get a free switch on the stabs of most legendaries and pseudos like fairies do and they are weak to one of the most popular coverage types while fairies are weak to fucking steel and poison, 2 bad offensive types that became merely mediocre because of how important they were in order to hit the strongest type in the game.
Dragon was cancer until gen 5 (mainly due to how they were almost all pseudos or legendaries) but fairy easily took its place.
