I hate Wizards of the Coast so goddamn much for making me have to accept adding LotR to that list. That used to be the boring and dry franchise with very little in the way of merch aimed at kids.

I used to buy there magic and dnd stuff alllll the time when I was a kid. Seems like they are trying to be a lot more profitable. I mean I kind of getting it with DnD, there is only so much money to make selling a book. Instead of Nickle and diming, they should try to make a magic tv show, merchandise, shit like that. They have 2 huge fantasy settings, they can do alot more with them

I think a better argument would be why are you consuming kids stuff. Though not like enjoying sports, Disney or Legos are any better. I am in my 40's, I still enjoy pokemon because it reminds me of a simpler time when I was palying as a kid. ITs easy to pick up, I dont need to drown endless hours into it like other games. PoGo helps me get out of the house and exercise more, and tis something me and my wife can both enjoy together.
Nobody likes an obsessive fan though, no matter what the medium is.

Yeah I wasn't talking about MtG or D&D. I was talking about LotR. Which until very recently was not a merch based franchise aimed at kids. Now they're pushing the garbage MtG crossover sets which definitely falls under the "for kids" category.
