A perfect set of mythological entities for a monster catcher and they fuck it up by making them deformed alts of ugly human-esque cloud creatures. Not only that, the therian forms fuck up the elemental affinities and in PLA, they put two of them in the wrong areas, the vermilion bird in the north and the Black tortoise in the south, the opposite of where they should be. They'll never retread the concept to correct any of it and it feels like an insult.
Digimon did them way better, but there is currently no Digimon game in English outside of survive where you can use them and you basically drain the game dry playing it, requiring the true ending. I only hope that the next Story title lets me have them on my team, especially since Pokémon took a giant shit on the concept. Fuck these genie fucks and fuck gamefreal for making them.
