>>54094856My go to strategy as a kid was to just grind until Charmander evolves, Charmeleon bashed through Brock easy, and mostly Misty with my other mon like Nidoran and/or Fearow or Mankey for clean up. From there Charmeleon/Charizard can destroy every gym up to Giovanni, and by then he's probably high leveled enough to bash through regardless of type disadvantage.
