I don't know how practical that is, but DX has a very comfy and nice art style, and I'd like to see what a mainline game would look like in it, with some additional polish and enhancements.
When the remakes happen, I do think you'll get your wish and more Tepig merch will hit shelves (probably more so in Japan, but hopefully elsewhere too). As for the anime, since Horizons is still doing the world tour thing (just so far, not to the extent of JN), I could see the characters ending up in Unova when the time comes to promote the games, though it's anyone's guess which Pokemon will get shown off. And if Horizons wants to avoid any characters associated with Ash, then this would be a great time to give the BW/BW2 protags a chance to appear in the mainline anime. Which honestly, would be pretty darn awesome.
