>>54112968>because people found the previous games too complex and difficult to beatnot exactly what he said but sure. He's reffering to story progression, which was made into one possible path instead of multiple. In my opinion, however, Unova has plenty of sidetracking off of these with many off beaten paths and better route design, meaning this doesn't equate to a reduction in exploration. Games after were still linear, but without these offshoots, meaning they didn't really have explorability
>theme parkthat's one city that people apply to Unova without playing it. Unova, like previous regions, is loosely based on it's location with many deviations and doesn't force New York don your throught throughout, but rather in certain location, which is the same with japanese regions. They also have completely different inspirations for some of their towns, like greek sootopolis and wild west lentimas. Meanwhile france, UK, Spain, and Hawaii are forced down your throat in their respective games
>post game replayabilityI'm assuming you're reffering to PWT, which is great without the only appeal being nostalgia. There are other facilities in the region, and games ever since rarely had more than one. Unova also has many postgame locations, and not to mention minigames like Pokestar.
