This is never directly hinted at or advertised anywhere in the game. Its just a single trainer. A little hidden easter egg nobody will find for an entire decade, the Pokemon this particular trainer has wont even be particularly good or stand out from the other trainers on the route.

retards that don't understand datamining. Easy enough to add flags to a hidden mechanic never mentioned elsewhere that lets a trainer battle be capturable, especially if the flag is in the trainer id itself for the gen. At which point it could just display a message like "Oh man I knew I should have caught them first!". Most people would assume it's just some random line from a random event, etc etc.

Reverse pseudo-legendary. The pre-evo has 600 BST but a dogshit near Weedle-tier movepool. Final evo has a kit as wide as the sea, amazing ability, but ~300 BST

I like this idea a lot.
I like using Shelgon and Zweilous because of how they play differently from their final evos (plus Eviolite usage) so having an evolutionary line where which stage you decided to stop out drastically changes how they play rather than just improving each time sounds cool as fuck.

Stat limits can change as pokemon evolve. By that I mean that if a unevolved pokemon has more attack, but evolves into something with more sp attack, the stats for it are reversed.

Having a Pokemon with Intimidate as your lead actually scares away other Pokemon on field from attacking you unless their level is higher, they're a typing that's strong against your Pokemon, or they have Oblivious, Own Tempo, Inner Focus, Guard Dog, or Scrappy.
A Pokemon that can only be found by going into a certain area and doing some Psycho Mantis shit with your Switch controllers to lead it to you.
Endgame opponents like the Elite Four and the Champ get affection bonuses on their Pokemon.

I'm trying to think of a concept for this line, I really like this idea. Something like the final evo has pretty rounded stats but depending on the prevo, you get more offensive options or more defensive/cleric options.

A reverse Eevee basically. Pokemon who has 3 or so base forms who all evolve into the same Pokemon. Moveset of the evolved Pokemon is limited but the unevolved forms all have various moves and niches. When using it, your opponent will have to try to figure out who it evolved from to know which moveset it's using
