Can we talk about how strange it is that the Pokemon Gold/Silver beta had so many incredible designs that never came back. The Honoguma, Kurusu, Manbo, Rinrin, Kotora, Norowara, Urufuman, lines all really stand out for me.

Plus tons of really cool scrapped pre-evo's and evo's for existing Pokemon like Jaranja, Para, Hinazu, Nyorotono, Nyorotono, Pudi, Baririna, Madamu, Purakkusu, Nameru. Also super neat how Rifi's design is clearly repurposed for Leafeon 2 gens later.

The Legendary Dogs also have fantastic designs.

Also it's so surreal that they had an entire region scrapped, that in some ways was a lot more diverse than the final map. I love the desert city and the port city.
