Regardless, Legendary Pokemon are not meant to be explicit proxies for real-world myths any more than generics are (Tangela being a Medusa reference, or Torterra being the World Turtle), so it is fully possible to make a Version Legendary or Legendary Trio have Bug-typing.
Perhaps a Bug/Ground that digs to the center of the earth to hibernate in the core between feedings, with the plot of the game being that it has awoken early due to Team shenanigans?
Or a Bug/Flying that is a sentient swarm (see: Wishiwashi) that comes together to protect a portion of a Region (alongside two others) in times of crisis.
