im just going to write this for lurkers: i enjoy playing the game by finding rare things, like shinies. that's how i get fulfillment. for example, when play LGPE, i saw you could find rare pokemon early on. i also learned about chaining. naturally, i wanted to chain a bulbasaur in viridian forest, something that a "normal player" would say "omg thats too hard! youre wierd." well, i feel satisfied when i overcome those barriers, and when i do grind out that chain, that requires a lot of patience, i realize i just mastered something in myself, the ability to subdue my desire to achieve a goal. i am personally fulfilled by that. i set a goal on route 1, i cannot advance until i catch 10 pokemon in a row with excellent technique on the first ball without saving. it was hard at first, but i achieved it, and after overcoming that barrier i set for myself, i felt accomplished, and my skill for getting the perfect technique improved. similarly, i play dark souls with no level no upgrade, and boss fights are hard at first, but eventually you master it and the boss cant hit you. it feels good to master something you put your mind to. i dont care how seething retards feel about that. in fact the seething is hilarious.
