Shinies really lost their prestige. This isnt even being a nostalgia nerd, this can be proven down to the numbers. Base chance literally HALVED, shiny charm further reduced said chance but thankfully its a pokedex completion reward, methods like chaining/raids/etc for a couple of hours grant you a certain encounter which trivialize the raw chances you get. Why do people still get overly excited when they find one with these methods, its nothing mindblowing if you spend two hours fighting/capturing the same pokemon and eventually run into a shiny. "But the masuda method..." You mean the 1/1638 original chance which also got buffed immensely for some reason? Gen 2-4 are the only shinies worth getting excited over, everything else is piss easy to acquire.
