>pour heart and soul into thee games
>it releases
>reception is mixed and game splits fanbase into two
>almost all complaints simply boil down to “I can’t get Pikachu or Charizard until after I beat the game”
>Masuda realizes Pokemon fans are fucking retards
>couple years later, time for gen 6 as director once more
>developing XY
>puts bare minimum effort into game, doesn't give a fuck, almost no post-game or anything
>only thing he does do is to make sure to genwun pander as hard as possible
>game is acclaimed by mainstream fans and critics alike because of all the KANTOOOOO references
