Well, compare Legends, which was very blatantly delayed, to SV, which very blatantly wasn't, and you'll see the difference. Neither are perfect, but even with issues at launch Legends was way better. I don't think SV even fixed the memory leak issue yet, did it? I know people thought it was fixed, but they just reset the game to get the update so it would be impossible to tell immediately.

There's alot of weird shit in this gen if you have not noticed

Teal Mask - Sept-Nov - I want to say October, I don't think they would release part 1 then a few weeks later part 2 so Nov seems too late.

BW came out like a week before the 3DS released and BW2 came out well over a year after
the first mainline game, X & Y came out 2 1/2 years after the release of the 3DS
gamefreak is greedy and wanted the 3DS to have a playerbase first, so they waited until enough people had one

same shit with the Switch
SwoShi came out 2 1/2 years after the release of the switch, before then we had to be happy with gen 7 on the 3DS

If you children could set aside your personal feefees about having pokémon stoled on you, you'd understand TPC are the butt-monkeys of the set-up, only allowed to make toys and magazines and cards and not actually get to order Game Freak around, much less tell them how to make their vidya. Or did you forget TPC tried to make Game Freak make a mega greninja, got told to fuck off, got a handwave asspull in return THEN Game Freak turned around and threw out the asspull entirely, first benching the species im the highest-selling generation since Gen 1, then deleting its super speshul form to turn its ability into a moxie rip-off? Because that's been a thing since they were forced to accept a tranny's self-insert, because Nintendo had already funded a movie featuring it. Tajiri put his foot down after and told them under no circumstances would they accept outside, un-commissioned designs in future (which clearly extended to forms and gimmick versions of existing designs).

Not that anon, but considering they fund the fucking things, yes. They are like, 3 steps removed from it and GF can put the foot down, as you said. But if they really wanted to, they could force their hand on any decision because they are still the primary shareholders of GF.

The difference is that in Elden Ring if you feel you are too overpowered for DLC you can just make another character, but pokémon only has one saveslot so you can't do that without losing all your stuff.

Bear in mind pokémon DLC is meant to be played in a new savefile, which is why your rivals use unevolved pokémon. It's DLC meant for new players.

Pokemon's DLC isn't like other games where it's designed to extract maximum money in the brief window after a game launches when people are playing it. Pokemon DLC is effectively the third version and is designed to punish the people who used to correctly wait for the definitive edition of a gen by making them first buy the buggy version devoid of content, then later buy DLC to fix it.

I expect the DLC to have an epilogue that ties in both part. Probably by going back to the Area 0 with DLC characters and the teal mask.
I'm also surprised that the upcoming DLC do not include a way to get previous legendaries and fossilmons like Crown Toundra did before. There is probably room for another DLC both in terms of content and time before the next generation.
