What remakes / remasters are we getting in the near future? Will it be just like this generation? Will they continue the Let's go and the Legends versions? Will they keep the link to the past plastic toy style?

Considering they based legends off a legendary pokemon from the game that hasnt had much attention in the games i'd wager we'll get a legends game based on a gen 5 mon who hadn't gotten a lot of attention, namely Genesect.

And to mirror the theme from violet and scarlet the Legends game will probably be based in the future in direct contrast with legends arceus being based on the past.

Think about how much of gen 5 & 2 are based on time/space shenanigans... white forest and black city.. celebi being gen 2's mew with timetraveling powers.

It all lines up.

Calling it now. Pikachu is the new Eevee.

They're going to introduce Pikablu and Gorochu as water and fire electric types in this gen

Longer dev time, and someone with actual knowledge on lighting so the games don't look so bad.

Toggle Pokemon Sprites to any variant in applicable Gen AND Toggle to FRLG and HGSS graphic styles in respective Gens.
Multiple Difficulties and files.

Later QoL additions and features such as Double Battles, V.S. seeker, Shiny Charm, Wonder Trade, Battle Frontier, Pokeball Seals, Gen 5 Bag Items, No Random Encounters, etc.

Right now HGSS fratbros are holding up progress. Do they want LEGENDS or another DS remake and to keep it a spinoff. Dexfags just get in the way too much

I'm curious how can they go back to unova when BW and BW2 are 2 years apart.

Even if they did make a Johto/Kanto Legends it would just be a worse legends Arceus. Don't get me wrong, ideas like Celebi taking them back to deal with something could work, but not in any way the pokemon company can or will allow.

Let's Go Johto with Pikablu and Togepi definitely seems like the way to go with that one.
With the next Legends game people were throwing around the idea of Legends Kyurem where you find Zekrom and Reshiram for story with with Kyurem because because of Yin and Yang or whatever. You'd also have a story surrounding the Swords of Justice, and have the save data bonuses be a quest for Iron Leaves (SV) and Virizion (SWSH or maybe even PLA). If you really wanted to add the Genies of Health Meta™ then make that the PLA save file bonus and SWSH give Victini.
A BDSP of gen 5 might be on the table, and it would work with a Legends Kyurem game like PLA worked with BDSP.

A Legends game set in Johto will be titled Legends Unown and would be extremely based since they can delve into 4 legends for the region with Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi and Unown. I honestly don't know what they could do for a Legends title in Kanto though, so honestly they should probably just tie them together since there's not much to go on for legends in Kanto.

I don't think Legends Kanto would work at all because Mew was in South America, wasn't it? That basically takes away the only historical thing you can work with. They could also use the Spaceworld stuff for Legends Johto and have the multiple floor Sprout Tower and call the region "Nihon" before eventually settling on Johto.
