>>54146134Well, one can rectify this issue by simply stating that the new humans come from a another world which did not face the same fate, due to a higher power recognizing that humans are incredibly versatile at solving issues like this.
I mean, seriously. Isn't it weird that the PMD universe has all of these massive, world ending issues but they never seem to rely on anyone except humans to solve it?
I just wonder whose bringing the humans in to solve it. Hoopa? Palkia? Arceus himself? Or someone lesser? Is there a cult that dedicates itself to humanity?
>>54146250>That also doesn't work given that if you recruit any wild Pokemon they're shown to be properly intelligent and capable of languagesThey're not actually, until you beat them. And it's not consistent.
To rectify this, one can make the argument that it's entirely possible that whatever made Pokemon intelligent is actually some form of uplifting agent, which can be spread through enough contact and time. Like a virus, or something. They would already have come into contact with Pokemon who speak before, so they have the memories to start understanding the language with immediately.
I mean, we already have Pokerus, and that already makes Pokemon stronger. How far of a stretch is it to say that there's a version of Pokerus that makes Pokemon incredibly smart much faster?
