Not that Anon but HGSS set incredibly high standards for remakes and ORAS mostly just added things that only influence competetive play like Fairies or Megas which don't make a meaningful difference for a regular playthrough.
Even if you ignore Emerald, there is just nothing particularly great about ORAS.

Besides, ORAS added other things that far outweigh missing the frontier. Soaring is kino, the dexnav is the best feature of any game since the fucking spec/physical split. It was good.

No? The legendaries in BW are more similar to 3 and 4, where they're mentioned a bit before showing up near the climax, although BW delayed it severely in comparison to the other two. Hell, if we're just going by the "is captured" part, that's not even true for the one N gets, since it seems to willingly pick him, compared to say Kyogre/Groudon fucking off or the Red Chain not really working on Dialga/Palkia. Hell, XY is the only first version where the legendary Pokemon is more or less captured with zero fanfare, even Gen 7 made a big deal out of Nebby getting fucked with in all the games. XY is the only one where they're mentioned like once before they become relevant, but also their period of relevancy is incredibly brief with a single on screen appearance upon which they're captured. Or are you just using exactly B2W2? In which case, Kyruem is consistently a threat through large portions of the game despite being captured at that point, instead of only vaguely being a looming threat through the form of the Ultimate Weapon that isn't really paid off at all even a little. Like, some houses get knocked over in a a comical fashion that looks like some kid was playing with blocks. Fucking Grunty in Banjo Tooie is a bigger threat.

You never touched them, you never wanted to. Then Elden Ring 2 comes out, it has two dozen new weapons, a hundred new spells, double the bosses, but they took out spirit summons. Do you have less to play with? Did the sequel have fewer features? Do you even care that the spirit summons are gone? Fucking obviously not. I remember when I first played XY, it didn't fully satisfy me, but I knew the game had introduced a lot of new stuff and it was expected of a new gen not to have an extensive postgame.
Then when ORAS came out and removed stuff like Game Corner (without replacing it), Safari Zone, Match Call, Battle Frontier, etc. I knew the series was headed in a bad direction.

If HGSS had been like ORAS, it would have removed any addition made to the original games. Stuff that Crystal had fixed or enhanced would be gone. The Battle Frontier, which was not in the original games would have been removed. The Safari Zone, which was not in the original games would have also been removed.

What is guaranteed for sure is that Gen 6's leak season was the greatest we will ever get. Fairy type, Mega evolutions and 3D was great hype material. Back then I guess we still had hope in the franchise.

ORAS are alright. i still like them better than DPPt and every other 3D game that isn't USUM
