>>54158754I had a lot of fun with it from beginning to end, the possibility to catch Pokémon without actually engaging in battles is very cool and so is the fact that from the first time you actually realize that Pokémon *are* dangerous since most of them will chase and attack you even outside of battle (and you have a life bar basically).
For the first time in a very long while I actually completeled its regional dex because it being possible without trading is great, and being able to unlock the finale of the story (and catch Arceus) made it worth it definitely more than the usual diploma and shiny charm and nothing else.
However, I think PLA has little to no replay value. I completed it before SV came out and I still do not wish to have another adventure in Hisui from scratch, despite all the fun I had the first time.
In comparison, despite all of SV's flaws, I did start it over a second time already because I was curious to try out different Pokémon in my team.
Well, I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not, maybe you don't wish to play again something you 100%ed because the first time was satisfying enough.
Dunno, but PLA is definitely only good the first time you play it, whether from beginning to end or if you don't like its concept I guess the first few times you pick it up.
