Fuck, if you actually look at the dex entries ingame for a lot of H-forms, the evolutions are just adaptations to the cold environment for most of them, or caused by the energy that comes from Mt. Coronet.

I'll bet money there will be some "old timey stone" or some shit that lets you get Hisuian forms in the future, because Gamefreak gives no shits about continuity, nor have they ever actually stated any of these Pokemon are extinct in the first place.
