As for Dusknoir itself, I wouldn't dream of using it.

It's one of the many gen 4 evolutions that become twice as fat as the pre-evo and add fake clothing, which is never a good idea
I like the idea of the antenna but they should have kept Dusclops' mummy-like body

Quite suprised there's a jp female artist that's obsessed with it, to the point she drew it multiple times fucking her oc.

Also just really needs a better ability. Heck even something like Cursed Body or Levitate would be good enough to differentiate it from 'clops.

It, like almost all of the Sinnoh cross-gen evolutions, is based. Locking them to the post-game in DP generated hype, making them playable before the league in Platinum allowed players to actually use these hype mons in the story. Smartest way GF ever used the "third upper version" formula.

Dusknoir is one of the most beloved Ghosts in the franchise.

Dusknoir is alright.
I feel like Banette was supposed to get a counterpart to it sometime during development, but it got scrapped later on. Reaper (Ghost World) Cloth would've made much more sense as an evolutionary item for a ghost puppet made of cloth than Dusclops.

At the time of Gen 4, I saw Dusknoir as an oddity. Looking at the stats, it seemed like a pointless addition. However, a few appearances in the anime and some cards with cool art, not to mention Mystery Dungeon, I am somewhat fond of Dusknoir now.

It's neat. I like the genie design, even if I prefer Dusclops over it. Solid Gen 4 evolution, not among the greats but far from the worst. It's on par with Togekiss imo.

It's never going to be better than clops defensively unless they completely remove eviolite, but if they gave it a good offensive ability (Analytic would be fun, but something like Iron Fist or even Rivalry would help a lot as well).
