Best game since HGSS. Though that's not saying much because everything in between ranged from mediocore to shit. Hope they do a Johto one next, but if the leaks are true, it seems like they're gonna waste the concept on Muttnova.

Cons
>"open world" game where every area is separated by a loading screen
>pop in like crazy
>environments look like something straight out of an early PS2 game
>pathetic FPS
>half-baked battle system
>hardly do any real battling at all, gameplay mostly consists of spamming pokeballs and run around which loses novelty after 1 hour
>crafting is almost pointless
>worlds are genuinely empty unless you like smashing into rocks and trees ad nauseam

Overall I'm tired of the hype this game gets. It's not bad but it's definitely not very good either. Overall it had incredible potential but needed at least another year in development. As is, it feels like a tech demo. Just because SV look and play worse doesn't make this game any better.

doesn't mean it meshes well with pokemon. most of the time you have to take a loss or two regardless of how well raised your mons were, or how well you played around the enemy. taking forced faints because of the fact that a turn order system that didn't also change up the values of the pokemon stats and move strengths to balance it. fuck the styles too

Who decided to release it outside the usual sale buster season, not have 2 versions, being a single player focused and then intorduced the next generation a fucking month later?

It doesn't matter, despite all that went against it, it still did a great job and is still considered one of the best games since Gen 5.
