the one thing I liked about SW/SH was the gyms as an actual sport and the build up to fight Leon. I wish this theme comes back one day on a better game as it felt like a professional competition that everyone in the region could take part in.

ngl, gyms going back to being some random people in s/v was kinda of a bummer, don't get me started on the Paldea champion compared to leon.
