You can call it something else but basically you fight one trainer every few weeks akin to 7 star raids that is special with a well thought out team. Sort of like the eReader cards in Ruby/Sapphire, with sort of the same preview. Upon winning, your three entrants get a special mark to say that they beat a special trainer (just make a new one for DLC, no need to reuse the Mightiest Mark). Your team then is uploaded and locked for a few weeks. Your score is determined akin to the Battle Institute for people to see online. You also get other trainers to go against every day after that with the teams that they used to beat the trainer for that time period, with a few extra spots reserved for what friends used.
I think this would be a cool one because it pulls from services that NSO already has which are a lot like Miiverse and SpotPass, and it's minimal effort on GameFreak's side since it's one unique trainer every few weeks. They could even do special/returning trainers if they really felt like it. Might be cool to see old protags again for example. That being said, they have fucked up event raids from time to time so this might be too much for them.
