The pokemon world has a massive amount of tech and super powers (pokemon) that make basic life easier, and you can always just go into the wild and build a team. Hell, legendary pokemon don't put up with the bad vibe energy from evil people, so you have a lot of good people surviving and reproducing instead of scumbags and other undesirable. People are probably just smarter and stronger too thanks to pokeselection.
