why do people on cart rage quit so often? i made this guy so mad he attacked his own pokemon then disconnected.

Context: I wispd his pao and scizor, got cress in set up t room and got a SD set up with ursaluna

its a pokemon. it should never be so serious that you have to rage quit/disconnect.

they don’t. They accept defeat and end the match early as they’re already losing anyways. I definitely think its a dick move to do this but I wouldn’t call it rage quitting.

Somehow this reminds me that OCG yugioh basically forces you to play the game if your opponent doesn't allow you to surrender, apparently that is such a dumb rule that it was addressed in an investor meeting

It's an extremely stupid decision to have such rules, it's a game, you should be able to just quit if you don't feel like playing

It’s a cart thing. A 3rd of the matches I’ve played have ended in rage quits.

It takes 30 seconds to wait until you can click the run button after the animations are done. In this case he attacked his own Pokémon before doing so he could have easily just forfeit the right way but chose to rage quit.

That doesn’t mean you have to disconnect. All you have to do is click the run button which is ok. Closing the game causes this to appear>>54179697 which happens often on cart

Ideally they'd just forfeit, but it's the same basic premise: game on cart are VERY slow, so once the game is in a state where one player basically cannot win then it's better to just end it and save both players' time.
