Since then, I think I would change my tune on a few of the entries like gen 6 as a whole but I would keep BDSP and LGPE where they are. The reason for this is because while BDSP were lazy, they did add a few things that were worthwhile to someone who had already played the originals, notably the Battle Tower additions and the (non-repeatable) Gym Leader rematches alongside the hardest E4 rematches in the entire series. You can't discount those, and the two alternatives to the Grand Underground to make it a place where many more Pokemon appear and the different, raid-like approach to contests means that it is different. The rating between DP and BDSP exists because DP are outright a slog to playthrough compared to the other games in the series.
LGPE for me wasn't worthwhile. I have the PokeBall Plus, and I have linked my GO account. I can see people enjoying this if they played a ton of GO, but it isn't for me.
>>54181655Don't have a retrospective opinion on the DLC in 2023 but at the time both the IoA and CT made my opinion of the game go from a very down the middle C tier to A tier. The S tier I standby because I play Sword more than I play Scarlet, even today.
