I would agree, but Ice doesn't really need more offensive power. Given how unbelievably atrocious it is defensively, maybe make it resist Water instead?

Then Freeze-Dry would have no purpose and may as well not exist.

Make Ice resist Water and buff Freeze-Dry to 80 BP.

Freeze Dry's effect could be changed to removing the foe's water type, that would make more sense with its name too

Unfortunately there are quite a few Pokemon like Lapras, Dewgong, Walrein, Abomasnow, Aurorus, Avalugg, etc. that don't fit the "fast Ice-type Pokemon" description so what about them?

Yeah, I can agree that Dewgong not having Freeze-Dry and Aurorus only having Ancient Power for special Rock STAB / not getting Aurora Veil until gen 8 was an oversight on Game Freak's part.
