When you guys do a playthrough, do you rush through everything or do you take your time to catch pokemon, raise them in the wild and see what moves or evos they get?

Why the fuck would I rush? I just take it slow, but I also look stuff up. If I wanna know what moves a Pokémon learns and when or when it evolves, I just look it up. But I definitely don't breeze through the main objective(s), where is the fun in that?

It really depends on the game and why I am playing it. I do playthroughs on my YouTube channel where I go and catch my top favorite Pokemon and stuff.

Back during when Swoshit came out I rushed through the story so I could get Eternatus and help my friends do max raids.

I tend to chill. Catch the Pokémon on every route and having a rotating team of 12+ mons (only way to deal with nu-EXP Share). Did 10 hours not even leaving the Obsidian Fieldlands in Legends recently. Beat Kleavor then went alpha hunting and tried to finish the dex for the area as best I could.

Usually I do two runs of a game near launch. One slow and enjoyable, one fast as possible to see how much lower level I can scrap by with.
On later revisits I like to take my time on playthroughs. For gen 4-7 I'll do homebrew/rehosted events too just to cap off a playthrough. Been meaning to do it for gen 3 but need a flash cart + GBA wireless adapters.

I prefer taking games slowly as much as possible, no matter what. However some games such as SV reward you for going as fast as possible by giving you upgrades that make exploring much more bearable. So you kind of have to rush through certain games.
