The DP sprite is messy but I think it best captures Sneasel’s energy. It gives the vibe that it’s fast as fuck and a sneaky bastard. I think on a general level Platinum’s sprites are the best. HGSS is polished but bland.

Yeah but Platinum was absolutely shit at coloration. So many Pokemon got randomly wrong palettes for no reason.

this happens a could times in HGSS, another example is dunsparce's sprite being vastly inferior to DPPt. They were stubborn on changing every gen 2 sprite in HGSS so they'd all look "new," for better or worse. There's only so many things you can do with poses and unfortunately some pokemon got huge downgrades (in addition to TTar, just look at fucking dragonite)
