>>54205113I assume you mean for the whole game rather than just individual dungeons cause none of the dungeons in Pokemon have a boss key like system. Gen I would be interesting I guess since there are the obvious keys in the form of the HMs (well specifically Cut, Surf and Strength) but also stuff like the Gold Teeth, PokeFlute (or Bicycle), S.S. Anne Ticket, etc. You also have to account for HMs only being usable outside of battle with the associated gym badge, plus you can acquire the gym badge or the HM in either order (hell you could go the whole game without picking up Strength until it's requirement in Victory Road). In general it would probably be best to represent the HM requirements with icons and have the key locations like;
- Gyms of Kanto (Pewter, Cerulean, Vermillion, Celadon, Fuchsia, Saffron, Cinnabar, Viridian)
- Plot relevant (Bill's Cottage, Burglarized House, S.S. Anne, Pokemon Tower, Pokemon Fan Club, Bicycle Shop, Rocket Hideout, Silph Co., Safari Zone, Cinnabar Mansion)
Honestly though only Gen I and II would be that interesting, Gen III has a few moments of multiple choice (like getting certain HMs and skipping some gyms) but Gen IV onwards is very restricted.
