The VGC was never about how to breed and train the best teams. It's not a showcase. VGC is about how to fight better and outsmart your opponent. Hacking a legit team is totally ok.

VGC is nothing more but another advertisement for Pokeymanz. It keeps the thin aura of Pokemon being serious competitive game while live events are opportunity to forcefeed more plushies, cards and other future landfill to hyped-up manchildren.

They basically have changed the rules. Judges have literally said Pokémon are just data and any legal obtainable Pokémon is fine. They don't even care about some illegal things like unavailable balls or suspicious shinies because there's no advantage there.

VGC sets are played best of three, open team sheet, swiss rounds until the final top 8 single elimination bracket. If you're losing sets before the top 8, it's not to RNG. And even in the top 8 if you're losing it's probably more to a bad matchup or a mistake than to RNG.
