>>54206985It's not just brownoids. Sure, when you hear "Mexican" outside of Mexico the first thing that comes to mind is probably Tacos, or some other variant of Mexican food. You're not thinking about Mariachi or Cinqo del Mayo or any of that other stuff, you're thinking about your favorite Mexican food. But, how about the word "Chinese"? I doubt you're thinking about Giant Pandas or the Great Wall; no, you're thinking about the last time you had Chinese takeout, or went to a Chinese buffet. How about Indonesia, what's Indonesia culture? If you're not Indonesian diaspora you probably don't know, but you might know what Indomie is. If I mention Vietnam, you might go to Pho or Banh Mi.
And hell, if I mention Japan, your first thought might actually be something like anime. But you're lying if Sushi doesn't pop into your mind. You probably think about Ramen, too.
Non-white culture is built around food. It is all about food, food and more food. That's why non-Americans are hyper-fixated on Hamburgers when they discuss America - the first thing they think of is "what food defines America? That's American culture."
To them, America being a land of freedom, or a place where everyone owns a gun, or whatever other myriad of stereotypes that have comes secondary to what's most important in their worldview; America has hamburgers.
