As it turns out, Xerosic was only using Team Flare's funding as a means to pursue his true passion in life - mind controlling teenage girls (yes, really). Looker, however, is so touched by his passion that he lets Xerosic go and even takes him out for dinner (yes, really). Having saved the day again, Looker leaves Kalos forever while Malva and Xerosic both walk free. The fact that they had just tried to kill everyone in the world last week is never brought up.
It's actually so bad that it's good.
