Why do none of the gigachad trainers from battle frontier or other postgames become gym leaders or elite four? Is there any lore reason for this?

The Frontier Brains? I think most of them are on par with the region's E4/Champion strength-wise, but they prefer battling in their specific format. Alternatively, maybe they don't want the responsibilities of being in the pokemon league when they can just stay in their facility and have equally compelling battles.

I'm not sure their power level is canon to the games' lore/world. Brandon for example has all three birds and all three regis, while Palmer has Sinnoh's three legendaries. Hell, even in Sword/Shield there are random NPCs with Silvally

So yes, canonically speaking, Frontier Brains are inferior to Elite Four members.

Champions > Elite Four > Frontier Brains

Frontier Brains are basically glorified Gym Leaders

I think the reason behind that was that Caitlyn was not cery capable of controlling her emotions at that time in a battle. She is a little more composed as an Elite 4, but she almost lose her cool once you defeat her.

Simple reasons:
>Gyms are mostly family businesses
>Gym duties encompas the protection of the local town so many don't want to be supercops/sergants
>Being an Ace trainer they are basically reservists with a super sporting career making large money the only downside being called to arms during wartime
>Some of them are simply to spastic to interact with people let alone job in a planned manner to teach/test kids how to properly train their pokemon.
