There are fans of this franchise who headcanon about romance between two characters who have never met, and the fact that this doesn't narrow it down to any specific pairing only cements my point further. GF cannot possibly care about every minute possible interactions and potential aspect of every character. Nemona's parents, like birds, are not that important.
