To make the second best remake after HGSS by bringing Sinnoh over to Switch

Much better NPC teams
Updated moves, types
more QoL (and no HMs)
no dynamax/gimmick shit
no worse trainer redesigns like in ORAS

Just pure peak golden age pokemon gameplay (slightly ruined by the forced affection, but still good)

I can't imagine someone paying $60 for garbage that offers a worse experience than the DS games. A virtual console port would have been better than this halfassed, outsourced, and passionless attempt at a remake.

By being unplayable, needing a day 1 patch, and (months later) updates to add content like the union room, battle tower, or home? BDSP are the worst this franchise has ever produced. You defending it shows /vp/ is either all paid TPCi shills or mentally ill terminally online twitter mind slaves.

Its a much improved DP that runs faster + has current platform graphics + extra content (Ramanas Park, lvl 100 Giratina fight etc.)
Essentially a Platinum sidegrade on the Switch

it's kind of hard to care about a straight remake. i hate ORAS because it fucked up my favourite gen so much. from what i've heard this one is mostly 1:1. is it lame? sure. but comparing that to SWSH and SV, games that are completely fucked in fundamental ways and supposed to be the big new generations, I see no reason to be madder about a pretty lame remake.

No its not. Platinum is a top 1-3 all-time pokemon game
A Platinum sidegrade is an awesome thing compared to either gen 8 or gen 9

Also you seem to have missed the main point - which was just to put a gen 4 Sinnoh game on the Switch, with Switch graphics, touch it up - and let modern zoomers play it since they likely never played gen 4.

because everyone saw the DP remakes being shit from a mile away, and there isn't exactly much else to add at this point because they're so unbelievably dogshit and forgettable, there's nothing new to talk about either because they're stripped-down 1:1 remakes
