Sada, Turo, and Arven turned out great, but those were by a different artist (James Turner) than, say, Rika. Rika's model looks passable, but her art looks like a sock monkey.
It's actually the first time the models look much better than the model sheet art. And even then? Eh.
It feels like they're trying very hard to look unique. They're not fully cartoony. They're not fully manga. I could give a pass if they wanted us to understand that they're not Earth Human because they do look like quasi-mutants. But many of them toe the line between 'deviantArt OCs (Miriam)' and 'humanoid sparkledogs (most of the cast, though it fits Iono's character since she's based on vtubers)'
Someone called Briar a "GO reject." Considering that Kozaki is GO's designer, I actually see this as a plus. I like strong, clean designs like hers over the exaggerated nonsense gonk like what's been on the roster. It's almost grotesque to me.
