I didn't mind XY having less content and being blatantly unfinished because I assumed a Z version would be coming.
I didn't mind ORAS not having the Battle Frontier because it still played relatively fine.
I didn't mind SM being cutscene hell because it was a new generation.
I didn't mind Ultra Changes (when I should've) because it was actually pretty difficult.
I minded Let's Go because it was a spinoff and was the only way to get Meltan and Melmetal until Home, but I knew this wasn't the main game we were promised, so I held my hopes high.
And then SwSh announced the dexcut, which singlehandedly made many people finally realize this series was flawed since the jump to full 3D.
