Birds and insects "need" to fly = they "evolve" wings. The wings are made differently (one is an adaptation of the upper limbs, the other is a specialized organ), but the end result is the same, having a thing that if you move it quickly let's you ascend in the air. That's convergent evolution.
That almost all animals that live in the sea have a "tube-like" form so they can move better in the water is convergent evolution.
That a fucking eel looks like a mole or a mushroom looks like a jellyfish when they live in completely separate environments, are exposed to completely different inputs and fill completely different niches IS NOT convergent evolution. It's, at most, a coincidence.
