>>54266372People find the time to have all kinds of hobbies, even more time-consuming, expensive and life-threatening than a kids' game.
If you can't find time for it, then just play on Showdown on your free time, which is also better from a financial perspective.
Maybe it's time-consuming because it's meant for children and teens to work hard on it, not 30+ manchildren moaning because they can't get their competitive bundle of pixels as easily as clicking their mouse a few times.
If anti-cheat filters all those people, honestly I think it'd make actually passionate gamers a favor, especially younger ones.
... And besides all that, what exactly holds you back from trying whatever you want on Showdown and then only invest your in-game resources in what you concluded is/are the teams you find most fitting?
I don't care about VGC, I don't farm Raids (only engage in them sometimes) and I have enough in-game resources to build Pokémon for 7-Stars Tera Raids in a couple hours.
How do you expect to be taken seriously as a competitive player if you can't even do that much?
Resources are so easy to farm in Gen9, there's no excuse to whine over anti-cheating checks at this point.
Play the game, or leave VGC to players who are actually passionate enough about Pokémon to invest their time in that.
